Abstract

In this study, module information was first analyzed in a building-type solar power system among new and renewable energy facilities that are increasing in demand as the target of zero-energy buildings expands. In addition, the method of writing BIM data in Revit for applying BIPV to zero-energy buildings according to the mandatory BIM was analyzed. The openness of the library was confirmed by comparing input data between BIM solutions by creating a pilot PIM library. The KS test data of BIPV for inputting the specifications information of the PIM library were investigated by nine manufacturers with KS-certified BIPV module products. The specifications information was classified into 54 factors to confirm whether the manufacturer disclosed the data. Most manufacturers agreed to disclose basic electrical specifications, such as the module output and voltage; however, they were reluctant to disclose items related to the company’s business, such as circuit composition, materials, and prices. In the case of input specifications for electrical safety inspection related to the pre-use inspection of BIPV, the input specifications of the PIM library could be prepared easily because only the items agreed by the manufacturer were in the KS report. For the BIM design of BIPV, where both architectural and electrical elements exist simultaneously, the method of creating a library in Revit among BIM solutions was investigated. The categories and types of PIM libraries presented in this study were analyzed and presented. A pilot PIM library was created using the proposed method. The openness of the library was confirmed through a comparison of BIPV shapes and attributes with other BIM solutions.
